It was one of the hottest films out of the Sundance Film Festival, but "Blackfish" will leave you with chills. Critics have praised "Blackfish" for being an "emotionally powerful" and "mesmerizing psychological thriller" that could double as a teaching tool. Thank you for watching CNN Films' documentary "Blackfish" for more information, please visit cnn.com/blackfish.
Sea World should be ashamed. All animals feel love and despair, such as these whales held in captivity. The public needs to be aware to end this horror!! When will humans learn to respect animals and not use them to make money!! Please sea world let these whales go!!!!!

Blackfish is eye opening. Killer whales shouldnt be held in captivity and should be released inti the wild. The fact that @seaworld is blaming thier trainers is ridiculous. This is sick and disgusting. I will not visit seaworld again. Its inhuman. #blackfish #freewilly
Thank you for doing this documentary. I have never supported sea world, circus acts with animals and horse drawn carriages. We are exploiting these animals just for the sake of money. Disgusting human behavior.
SeaWorld's financial contribution to conservation ~0.06% of revenue (compared to 20% for Jersey Zoo) #Blackfish

Wow, so heartbreaking. I never knew whales were so smart. Thank you for the eye opening documentary. Can't imagine having a baby taken away and all your able to do
This was truly an inspiring documentary. Sea World is profiting on tearing orca families apart and using them for entertainment. The trainers care so much for the orcas, and even they want to see them free. They see that it is very unfair to trap an animal in a box. #FREE THE ORCAS #BLACKFISH
Concerned about orca trainer safety - contact @OSHA and politely tell them your views #Blackfish

These magnificent, intelligent creatures deserve to live freely in the wild. I will never again visit Sea World ... and I will discourage family and friends from doing so. Thanks, CNN, for bringing such atrocities to our attention.
70 incidents and not being told? Sounds like a class action lawsuit as clearly the trainers took chances (like the girl playing with the whale alone) they never would have if they knew the potential ramifications.I think these attacks are the only way they can let people know they are being held against their will. Free all the whales. They belong to the sea, not to us.
I am so heartbroken for the orcas and for the trainers that lost their lives. I just sobbed and sobbed when they spoke about the mother orcas basically screaming and physically shaking for their babies when they had been taken away. Very revealing and disturbing documentary. Gees, why can't we just go back to observing the orcas in all their majesty in the wild instead of keeping them prisoner to do "pony tricks" for our entertainment.
"BLACKFISH" totally reinforced my firm conviction that we should be far beyond the era of keeping wild animals in captivity for entertainment purposes... and the money it brings in. If there are sanctuaries where whales and dolphins currently in parks can be taken to and rehabilitated and possibly freed, let's do it. Phase out those "sea worlds". Develop sustainable ecotourism where ppl can observe the orcas with respect. That will benefit entire shoreline communities, and the orcas too.

I will never go to SeaWorld. Free the whales! Humans can be the cruelest animals on the planet. I feel for the trainers who know how unhappy the whales are. Maybe if they all resigned SeaWorld would get the message. No trainers, no shows, no money, no need to keep the whales!
This was a very good documentary... I have attended SeaWorld shows in San Diego and Orlando and am an Army combat veteran... I was moved by the Patriotism SeaWorld has towards veterans before, but NEVER knew the Orca's frustrations to confinement as evidenced in Blackfish, and never knew the collective injuries that have occurred in the last several decades that were not public knowledge until now. Clearly, SeaWorld is VERY VERY good at public relations, which has unfortunately involved absolutely Lying about the dangers and past occurrences. I will not view SeaWorld the same again, and can't support animal abuse, as I've fought for freedom of humans abroad... I must fight for freedom of our aquatic citizens as well.
I can't stand this abuse of intelligent animals in captivity. We are making them miserable and crazy unjustly. They have done nothing to deserve this abusive treatment. I only want to know what I can do to stop this. I wish that after the program Blackfish that they had informed people on what the public can do to stop this abuse. I am in tears. I want to help. What can I do. Please let me know. My e-mail is harrysuzy@yahoo.com
Sea World should let Tilikum back into the wild. He's not getting any stimulation now. He's basically being bored to death. If Sea World has a heart, they will let him go back into the wild.
The fact that this orca was taken from the wild, put in captivity, kills and injuries multiple people, but continues to entertain at Seaworld amazes me. The fact that these people only care about money rather then the lives lost, people hurt from those lives that were taken, yet they still don't release Tilikum amazes me even more. Do you not have a conscious? This orca clearly shows he is unhappy, he shows he doesn't want to be there, he shows that he has emotions. If they are not born in captivity, do not take them from the wild and put them in captivity, and expect a whole show from them, you took away everything they once had. You took away their family, their home, and their freedom.
Seaworld you should be ashamed. I will never go there again, after seeing the truth. I feel so sorry for that poor woman. Shame you blamed her. RIP Dawn..
SW doesn't have the guts to come forward and take any bloody responsibility for anything they have done past or present. They make me sick to my stomach over the handling of everything. It doesn't matter that some of the footage is old, step up and say it was wrong and we know better now. Take some of your profits and build and appropriate enclosure so these whale can live out their lives in the ocean somewhere. We no longer need to see them at a zoo setting to love and appreciate them. Disgusting!
I dont feel sorry for these people that have died, this is merely what happens when you train a wild animal to be a pet for a show. You're paying for animal abuse. We were planning to visit Sea World but thanks to this, nope. I hope people go on strike and Sea World gets shut down. All for money.
